Wymagania wstępne na studia medyczne 1-szego stopnia

Studenci ubiegający się o przyjęcie do szkoły medycznej w Wielkiej Brytanii mają do wyboru dwa główne kierunki studiów; program A100 Medycyna lub A104 Medycyna z kursem przygotowawczym (ang. foundation year).

UCAS Kursy Medyczne

Standardowe wymagania wstęone na kierunki medyczne (UCAS kod: A100)

Medycyna standardowego trwa zwykle pięć lat, ale może również sześć. Może mieć różne skróty, takie jak MBBS lub MBChB, ale wszystkie prowadzą do uzyskania stopnia licencjata w medycynie.

• International Baccalaureate IB: 37 punktów (obowiązkowa chemia oraz inny przedmiot ścisły).
• A-level: AAA włączając chemię oraz inny przedmiot ścisły, np. matematyka, fizyka, biologia czy psychologia. 
• IELTS: 7.5, z żadnym wynikiem cząstkowym poniżej 7.0

Wymagania wstępne dla absolwentów medycyny (Graduate entry: UCAS Kod: A101)

Aplikacja  ta dostępna jest dla absolwentów medycyny. Wiele uczelni wymaga, aby poprzedni stopień był związany ze zdrowiem, ale nie wszystkie. W Większości przypadków jest to czteroletni przyspieszony kurs, ale na niektórych uczelniach może trwać również pięc lat.

Medycyna z rokiem wstępnym (UCAS code: A104)

This course takes the form of either a five-year Standard Entry Medicine with an additional year at the start, making a six-year course, or sometimes the preliminary year is taken as a standalone one-year course. It is also known as Medicine with a Foundation Year, or similar.

• International Baccalaureate: 34 punkty.
• A-level: AAA.
• IELTS: 7.5, z żadnym wynikiem cząstkowym poniżej 7.0

 Medycyna z rokiem przejściowym (UCAS kod: A108)

• International Baccalaureate: 32 punkty.
• A-level: BBC włączając chemię. Stopień B musi być uzyskany z przedmiotu ścisłego.
• IELTS: 7.5, z żadnym wynikiem cząstkowym poniżej 7.0
